On Wednesday March 8, Nicholas George Donald Smith went home to be with the Lord. He is walking hand in hand with his grandmothers Ina Smith, Irene Newbury and great grandmother “Nan”. Nicholas leaves behind his parents Kelly Newbury-Smith (stepdad Joe Teixeira), Raymond Smith (stepmom Janet Smith) brother Joshua (sister-in-law Julie), Grandfather Don “Pop”, stepbrother Michael, stepsisters Kassandra and Christina and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Nicholas forever touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a very loving person and never missed an opportunity to hug you. He had a smile that would melt your heart. Although Nicholas had autism he lived and enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved listening to music and would often hum or sing along to his favorite songs. He had an amazing voice. Nicholas also enjoyed hiking, the outdoors, walking in the rain and wind, being around water and sitting around a campfire.

No longer by our sides….but….Forever in our hearts.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at Olivet Baptist Church, 30 Church St, Westport on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 1pm. An Open Reception to follow from 2-3pm in the church hall.
