Marilyn Dorothy Irene Smith
June 15th, 1936 – October 2nd, 2022
Marilyn passed away peacefully on October 2nd, due to Dementia & Alzheimer’s disease.
Survived by her daughters – Deborah Morey of Ottawa, and her daughter Christa Park of Kelowna BC, 4 grand children & 10 great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all. ‘
Lyn’ & her beloved husband Stanley Smith, fell in love with Westport in 1986, when they discovered & purchased the old Wesleyan-Methodist building.
After years of love, labour & the passing of her beloved husband Stanley in 1990, Lyn later opened the Old Salem Church, as a Bed & breakfast. S
he very much loved Westport, the Old Salem Church & the dear friends she made here in the village, throughout her years here..
