Jack joined the Canadian Merchant Marine at a very young age and served as a crew member until after the War when he married Anona (Noni) Luciano. They lived a full life in Ottawa; were members of St. Anthony’s parish, and were active in the church community. They enjoyed extensive traveling everywhere and were members of the Cedar View Golf Club, participated in a bowling league and curling club and had good times at their cottage at Mississippi Lake. Noni passed in 2011.
After the Navy, Jack worked at the Canadian National Research Council and retired early enough to engage another career at the University of Ottawa in one of the research labs until a second retirement.
Jack was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5717 in west Ottawa while at the same time was a member for years in the west Ottawa Lions Club and served as president for a term.
Jack had a wonderful sense of humour always had a story, liked people and lived life to the fullest.
He will be missed by the Luciano families of Wayne, Paul and Chuck.

Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear that Jack has passed away. He and I had some real good laughs when he would stop in at the shop. He always had a story to tell. I'm sure you will miss him greatly. Sincerely, Donna Bresee
