Peacefully at Wynfield LTC Residence, Oshawa, on Tuesday, April 23, Jennie May Ball (Card) of Verona, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred Ball. Dear mother of Jennine and Marina (Martin). Sister of Bessie Meeks (Maitland - pre-deceased).Jennie will be fondly remembered for her warm smile & positive outlook. She loved poetry, flowers, birds and animals. A teacher and lifelong member of the Free Methodist Church, Jennie taught compassion, empathy and kindness, supporting many of the church’s missionaries. There will be a graveside service at Verona Cemetery on Thursday May 2nd at 1:00 p.m., followed by refreshments at Verona Free Methodist Church. Arrangements entrusted to Lyons Funeral Home, Westport. Online condolence available at www.lyonsfuneralhome.ca Donations can be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Jennie.”
